What do you really need to know about Don't Feed the Goat? Who are we? Where are we? What's with the name?

Who are we...

The driving force behing Don't Feed the Goat is Steve Goodman. Throughout the years, various folks have tagged along and made their contributions to the music, whether in songwriting or singing or on various instruments. Among those folks who you can hear today are: Phil Karp, Ben Druskin, Gil Zewwi and Linda Goodman.

In addition,the following folks contributed back in the heyday, when my 4-track recorder and a couple of $25 microphones were the studio: Mike Flannigan, Todd Zivin, Linda Pine, Joel Mehr, Jim Slonina, Kate Riley, Lisa Rothschiller and Martin McClendon.

I look forward to the day when bootlegs of these early recordings will go for thousands of dollars on E-bay. As of now, you can only hear them if you ask me nicely.

Where are we...

Steve lives in Zichron Yaakov, Israel, though he was born in Chicago and has also lived in Minneapolis Minnesota and Urbana Illinois.
